How to Tile Table Tops
When tiling a table top, it's important to measure the size of the table and the tile thickness. A square or rectangular table works best. To help estimate the tile thickness, measure the top and bottom edges of the table. For stone tiles, measure a stone tile by 1-3/4 inches and make sure the tile covers the thicker side of the table. If necessary, add a small piece of cardboard to the top edge of the table to help the tile sit level. If the tile is too thick, shim it up a few inches, but this is not noticeable once the tile is installed.
